Sweetie-pie surprised me today with a strawberry macaroon from Breadbar and it was large enough for us to share.
Though a larger and bit denser interpretation from traditional macaroons (I miss Boule), I enjoyed this pretty pink perfection and look forward to trying their vanilla and coffee flavors.

thank you for your comment today. i love that you are trying to raise yourself right. me too! my parents are still freaks, but we live far apart and they have mellowed SOMEWHAT with age. a little. they are still hardcore bible thumpers and that is a nightmare to deal with.
i miss boule too - the chocolate hazelnut macaroon was my fave. thanks so much for swinging by LA in Bloom. Did you love Ojai as much as I do?
